Volkswagen Passat Wagon (2013 B7)

Volkswagen Passat Wagon

5 Pros

  1. The German built Passat scores strongly in the all important wagon boot space test
  2. Decent rear leg room and a well built interior (except for the out of place analogue clock)
  3. Fixed price servicing now available from Volkswagen (finally…)
  4. Good fuel efficiency from the diesel and great speed from the V6
  5. Standard sat nav, reversing camera and automatic boot

5 Cons

  1. The cheapest version is too slow and not fuel efficient enough
  2. The Mazda 6 wagon is cheaper and the Volvo V60 is probably better looking
  3. The automatic gearbox can be a little jerky in town
  4. Overall a bit boring to drive and its slightly more expensive German cousins (such as the Audi A4 Avant and BMW 3 Series Touring) are much fancier
  5. Ongoing concerns about Volkswagen reliability

Concluding personality type: Fibre: Keeps you moving when you get older (but I wouldn’t boast about it)
